Teve lugar no dia 23 junho o pequeno-almoço debate “AI: Hype or game changer?”. Com abertura por Pedro Duarte, Corporate, External & Legal Affairs Director na Microsoft Corporation e Presidente da Comissão Especializada “AI, Data & Cybersecurity” da AmCham Portugal, o pequeno-almoço teve como oradores no painel: Professor Arlindo Oliveira – Daniela Braga, Founder & CEO da Defined.ai – Pedro Marques, Head of Advanced Analytics and Intelligence (Coordenador) na SPMS, EPE – Serviços Partilhados do Ministério da Saúde – Madalena Talone – Vogal Executivo do Conselho de Administração e da Comissão Executiva da CGD. Moderação por Manuel Maria Correia – General Manager da DXC e Presidente da Comissão Especializada ”Tecnologia & Inovação” da AmCham Portugal.

Manuel Maria Correia summing up the AI debate: if AI is hype or a game-changer, he concluded from all the comments that it is both – that it is a technology that carried a lot of risks with it, but that many of them could be mitigated, that there were opportunities in the health sector, for example, and while Portugal is too small to be a big player in AI, it does have a set of unique conditions to be an important player, and that these opportunities will be leveraged by economic sectors in Portugal, namely in the banking sector, but that this is a transversal topic and naturally there are concerns over how it will be policed.
