How do major geopolitical tensions intersect with the economic decisions that shape our daily lives? Are we prepared for a more fragmented, more indebted, and less predictable world? And what role can Portugal, Europe, and the U.S. play in this new global balance?

With a career spanning academia, the Portuguese Government, and leading international institutions, Vítor Gaspar combines practical experience with a global perspective. Having served as Portugal’s Minister of Finance and held leadership positions at the International Monetary Fund, he offers a rare insight: understanding both the inner workings of national policymaking and the major global economic debates.

What makes this keynote particularly relevant? The ability to connect short-term developments with long-term trends. To explain the immediate impact of crises and conflicts without losing sight of the structural changes reshaping the international financial system. To turn complex data and scenarios into clear insights that help anticipate risks and identify opportunities.
