The US Embassy in Portugal is a bridge between the two countries. Bilateral relations between the United States and Portugal date back to the early years of the United States, when Portugal was among the first countries to recognize the United States after the Revolutionary War. The longest-running US Consulate is located in Ponta Delgada, on the island of S. Miguel in the Azores.

Fundação Luso-Americana para o Desenvolvimento - FLAD

FLAD promotes the development of Portugal, of the Portuguese and Luso-descendants communities through cooperation with the United States of America. They are a bridge between the two countries, focusing on Science, Education, Culture and Transatlantic Relations.

American Club of Lisbon

The American Club of Lisbon was founded in 1947, as a Club dedicating to enriching relations, both social and business between the people of Portugal and the United States of America, as well as other friendly nations.

AmCham EU

AmCham EU speaks for American companies committed to Europe on trade, investment and competitiveness issues. It aims to ensure a growth-orientated business and investment climate in Europe. AmCham EU facilitates the resolution of transatlantic issues that impact business and plays a role in creating better understanding of EU and US positions on business matters.

Palcus

PALCUS is committed to serving the community through increasingly active government relations efforts, the promotion of a greater awareness of ethnic accomplishments and encouraging stronger ties between Portugal and the United States. It was founded in 1991 by a group of successful, forward-thinking Portuguese-Americans with the purpose of providing a singular national voice that would advocate for the interests of Portuguese-Americans in the United States.

U.S. Chamber of Commerce

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is the world’s largest business organization. The members range from the small businesses and chambers of commerce across the country that support their communities, to the leading industry associations and global corporations that innovate and solve for the world’s challenges, to the emerging and fast-growing industries that are shaping the future.

AmChams in Europe

AmChams in Europe serves as the umbrella organization for 46 American Chambers of Commerce (AmChams) from 44 countries throughout Europe and Eurasia. As a bilateral voice of American and European companies, AmChams in Europe works to communicate the importance of the transatlantic economy in both Europe and the United States.

Portugal-US Chamber of Commerce

The Portugal–US Chamber of Commerce in New York was founded in 1979 to stimulate economic development, trade and investment, and cultural exchange between the United States and Portugal. The Chamber works closely with its counterparts in Portugal, Canada, and across the United States to promote shared interests in Portugal and expose the vast economic opportunities of the country.
