Position Papers – AmCham Portugal

This document is the result of the joint work of six of the ten Specialized Committees of AmCham Portugal and aims to identify the key challenges and opportunities faced by American companies operating in Portugal.

Each Committee analysed its respective sector of activity, identifying issues that, in its view, may impact the attraction of investment, the development of innovation, and economic growth in Portugal.

This work sets out strategic priorities and recommendations which, if implemented, could generate tangible benefits for the business environment in Portugal. These recommendations seek to address existing constraints, enhance competitiveness, support innovation, and stimulate bilateral investment.

The following pages provide a summary of the key topics identified by each Specialized Committee, along with their respective priorities and recommendations, offering a structured overview of the areas where dialogue between businesses and policymakers can have the greatest impact on promoting economic development and strengthening bilateral relations.
