AmCham Tributes

The AmCham Tributes are an award established by AmCham Portugal to recognize and reward the companies, institutions and personalities that have most distinguished themselves through their contribution to bringing Portugal and the United States of America closer together and to mutual understanding and, in particular, to strengthening economic and trade relations between the two countries.

They are presented at an annual gala ceremony, which is one of the highlights of the American Chamber of Commerce in Portugal's calendar and a highly prestigious event celebrating the friendship between Portugal and the USA.

The goals of the AmCham Tributes are to:

Recognize and reward organizations that have stood out for their contribution to bringing Portugal and the USA closer together, especially in strengthening economic, investment and trade relations between both countries.
Help spread good business practice, excellence and talent, promoting an entrepreneurial and innovative culture.

Portuguese or American companies may be recognized if they have:

Made an investment in Portugal or in the USA.
Exported to the USA or to Portugal.
Developed a project promoting one of the countries, creating greater knowledge of and closeness between the two, including in the cultural, educational or other fields.
Worked to defend the interests of communities in either of the two countries.
Developed a project in the fields of Innovation, Entrepreneurship or Sustainability involving both countries.

Who can apply:

Any company or organization, whether or not a partner of AmCham Portugal, regardless of its sector of activity, size or turnover.

Jury evaluation criteria:

Interest of the project.
Relevance of the project's results.
Importance of the project for the growth and development of Portuguese-American relations.

The AmCham Tributes are presented during the AmCham Portugal Gala Dinner, held under the highest patronage.
