AmCham Portugal to be the implementation partner of the Portugal–United States CEO Forum
AmCham Portugal will be the implementation partner of the Portugal–United States CEO Forum, a new platform for dialogue and economic cooperation launched by the Governments of Portugal and the United States, whose first plenary meeting will take place in Lisbon, on the sidelines of Web Summit.
The initiative will bring together representatives of both Governments and Portuguese and American business leaders from sectors such as technology and digital platforms, energy and infrastructure, pharmaceuticals and health, defense and aerospace.
The goal is to bring business leaders who are ready to invest, innovate and create jobs closer to public officials who are able to help overcome obstacles and turn new business opportunities into reality. The private sector will thus play an active role in identifying priorities and opportunities for cooperation, contributing its knowledge of the markets and its business experience to drawing up recommendations addressed to both Governments.
As implementation partner, AmCham Portugal will play a key role in coordinating the Forum’s activities, fostering dialogue between companies and public decision-makers and helping to turn shared priorities into concrete economic cooperation initiatives.
The launch of the CEO Forum is a further step in deepening the transatlantic partnership and in creating the conditions to strengthen investment, innovation and competitiveness, generating new opportunities for companies on both sides of the Atlantic.
