Barometer of American Companies in Portugal – 2026

The Barometer of American Companies in Portugal, developed in partnership between PwC and AmCham Portugal, analyzes the role of American companies in the country, combining their economic relevance with managers’ perceptions of how the business environment is evolving.

The study highlights the role of the United States of America (USA) as a strategic partner for Portugal, standing out as its main non-European partner in trade and investment, and as a driver of growth, innovation and technological development. At the same time, it underlines Portugal’s attractiveness to American investment, underpinned by its position as an emerging hub in the digital economy, establishing itself as a strategic point in this value chain and benefiting from its connectivity and the growing presence of data centers.
