AmCham Ethics and Transparency Committee

At the General Assembly of AmCham Portugal, held on May 26, 2026, the creation of the Ethics and Transparency Committee was approved.

This Committee, which is advisory and independent in nature, will be chaired by Dr. Rui Patrício and its main mission will be to propose a set of rules with guidelines for conduct, promoting the adoption of best practices in ethics, integrity and transparency and ensuring compliance with the latest legal requirements on compliance.

The creation of this Committee is an important step in strengthening AmCham Portugal’s culture of ethics and good governance. In addition to consolidating good practices within the Chamber, it will make it possible to provide guidance and support to members on these matters, underlining AmCham Portugal’s commitment to the highest standards of integrity and placing it at the forefront of bilateral chambers of commerce in Portugal in this field.
