Startup World Cup

The world’s largest startup competition is coming to Portugal—supported by AmCham Portugal! For the first time, Lisbon will host the Startup World Cup – Portugal on September 10 and 11, an event organized by Pegasus Tech Ventures, a global venture capital leader headquartered in Silicon Valley.

Over two intense days at Unicorn Factory Lisboa, 50 pre-selected Portuguese startups will pitch their projects to a panel of investors, industry leaders, and top mentors. From these, 15 semifinalists will be chosen, and only one will represent Portugal in the grand world final in San Francisco on October 17, where a direct investment of $1 million is at stake.

This is a unique opportunity to connect Portugal’s innovation ecosystem to Silicon Valley, accelerate business models, and attract strategic capital.
