AmCham Portugal hosted a workshop focused on the impact of Artificial Intelligence on organizational transformation, emphasizing the preparation of companies for a new, secure, and sustainable digital workforce.
The session featured Fernando Braz, Portugal Country Leader at Salesforce, and Tiago Esteves, Principal Solution Engineer.

Throughout the workshop, the rapid evolution of AI was highlighted—shifting from a support tool to a true digital workforce capable of operating autonomously, scaling processes, and transforming business models. The message was clear: “AI is inevitable.”

Data plays a central role in this strategy. Without high-quality data, AI cannot deliver value. In this context, the importance of integrating cloud, data, and artificial intelligence in a structured and secure manner was emphasized.

The first wave of virtual agent implementation has occurred in customer service, directly improving operational efficiency and customer satisfaction, while also extending to sales pipelines and accelerating commercial processes.

According to data shared during the session, 84% of CIOs believe AI will be as transformative as the Internet, with the potential to generate a significant impact on the global economy by 2030.

The workshop also addressed challenges related to privacy, security, and governance, underlining the need to embed these principles from the design stage of AI solutions.

The conclusion was unequivocal: Artificial Intelligence will transform every company, impacting revenue growth, cost reduction, customer satisfaction, and time-to-market.
